Off the Chart – by Brad Arthur |
|
Sitting on a small boat, rod in hand on a quiet lake in the late afternoon, watching the sun set behind majestic mountains. That is the image many people picture when the term “Fishing” is mentioned. While that may be a fantastic way to spend the afternoon, the sport of angling offers a whole lot more. Since 70% of the earth is covered by water, anglers are blessed with almost limitless fishing opportunities. From mountain streams to tropical islands, freshwater ponds to the deep blue ocean, all offer something special.
Exploring different destinations and tackling some of the ocean’s great predators is what “OFF THE CHART” Adventure Fishing Series is all about. While the fishing is most certainly the main objective; the opportunity to travel to far off places and experience different cultures comes as a huge bonus. One of the greatest appeals that fishing has is that fish live in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Finding the best fishing spots isn’t always easy and going off the beaten track is all part and parcel of capturing that catch of a lifetime. Join the team as they go on an adventure to some vastly different landscapes; from our tropical neighbor Mozambique, to the mineral-rich country of Angola, to the dazzling city of Dubai and the deserts of the Sultanate of Oman. From absolute First World, to countryside’s forgotten by time, to countries rebuilding after years of devastating war, all offer unique opportunities that are just waiting to be explored…not to mention plenty of fish to catch!
